I'm a mechanical engineer who loves building things, breaking them on purpose, and using the data to make them better.
I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and have spent ten years bringing electro-mechanical systems from concept to working hardware, from custom PCBs and microcontroller firmware to robot control systems, test fixtures, and medical devices. I back my designs with numbers: designing experiments, running life tests, analyzing data from studies with hundreds to thousands of participants, and turning results into clear engineering decisions. Along the way I've managed a research lab, published as a lead author, contributed to a funded NIH grant, and taught engineering and statistics at the university level, so I'm comfortable explaining technical work to engineers, clinicians, and students alike.
